But it’s also a risky game. Most people play for fun, with money they can afford to lose, and only occasionally. For some, however, gambling can be a serious problem. Many people suffer from compulsive gambling which can be a difficult addiction to get over.
Gambling, or some forms of gambling, is illegal in many countries around the world. In the US, for example, individual states are left to decide whether they will allow gambling on their territory. In Nevada, the home of Las Vegas, gambling is legal but not in Utah.
